Beavis and Butt-Head Do America is a 1996 American animated road crime comedy-adventure film based on the MTV television series Beavis and Butt-Head. The film was directed by series creator Mike Judge, and stars the regular television cast of Judge, with guest performances by Demi Moore, Bruce Willis, Robert Stack, and Cloris Leachman. The plot follows Beavis and Butt-Head as they travel across the country in search of their stolen television set.

Plot[]

Beavis and Butt-head get a kick-start on the road, when two crooks steal their TV. On their mission to find a replacement, Beavis and Butt-head wind up in the motel of Muddy Grimes, where a case of mistaken identity has them sent to find his wife, Dallas. Due to misunderstanding Grimes when he says to "do" his wife, the two travel from Las Vegas to Washington, not realizing they've been sent out to kill the woman.

Why It Rocks[]

  1. It's faithful to the TV series.
  2. Great advertising, including its tagline, "Coming to the screen too BIG for your TV".
  3. Humorous plot.
  4. It was MTV's only full-length animated movie to be released theatrically, as the most successful animated feature film of the Christmas season of 1996.
  5. Animation and backgrounds are amazingly similar to these animated movies of the 1980s.
  6. Beavis and Butt-Head are still a hilarious comedy duo.
  7. The ending scene where Beavis and Butt-Head found the TV in victorious is very funny, spoofing the most popular pirate movies of the 1980s.
  8. They use some running gags from the show including, "I am The Great Cornholio, and I need TP for my bunghole!"
  9. Tons of hilarious moments such as the plane scene and the trunk jumping scene.
  10. It's denser and wackier than the TV show.
  11. We get to meet Beavis and Butthead's fathers for the very first time.
  12. Great voice acting.

Bad Qualities[]

  1. Jerky music score by John Frizzell.
